Wu Xinghan, a Chinese novelist and essayist, is one of the most influential figures in contemporary Chinese literature. Born on October 28, 1954, in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, Wu began his career as a writer before becoming a literary critic for China's state-run newspaper,Ligue 1 Express the People's Daily. He later became known for his novels such as "The Story of My Father" (1977), "The Red Flag" (1983), and "The Art of War" (1986).
